Who looks after your information
ELU Designs is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. For questions about your information, email emma@eludesigns.co.uk.
When you make an enquiry
We collect your name, email address and message, along with any wedding date, collection interest and consultation preference you provide. We use these details to reply, arrange a consultation and discuss a possible commission. Please only include information that you want us to use for your enquiry.
Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We also have a legitimate interest in keeping correspondence needed to manage enquiries and protect the service from misuse. We do not add you to a marketing mailing list when you send an enquiry.
Services that help us run the website
Vercel hosts the website and its images, Neon stores enquiry records, and Resend sends enquiry notifications to the atelier. Our email provider also processes correspondence when we reply. Hosting services may process technical information such as your IP address and request details to deliver and secure the site.
These providers may process information outside the UK. Their data protection terms describe the safeguards for international transfers. You can ask us for more information about the providers used for your enquiry. We do not sell your personal information or use it to make automated decisions about you.
Optional analytics and cookies
If you accept optional analytics, PostHog helps us understand page visits and how the enquiry form is used. It uses cookies and browser storage to recognise visits. Our analytics service is hosted in the US. We do not send your name, email address, wedding date or message as enquiry analytics, and session recording is switched off.
Analytics runs only with your consent. Declining has no effect on browsing or sending an enquiry. You can change your choice here at any time; withdrawing consent stops future collection and does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. We store your preference in this browser where storage is available. Necessary storage also supports administrator sign-in and site security.
We use optional analytics cookies to understand which pages are useful. You can accept or decline them and still use the whole site.

How long information is needed
Enquiry records are kept for the time needed to respond and manage the conversation. If an enquiry becomes a commission, relevant correspondence forms part of the commission record. The period depends on whether the enquiry is still active, any ongoing commission, and legal or accounting requirements. You can contact us to ask about, or request deletion of, your information.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access or correct your personal information, and request deletion, restriction or a portable copy where the right applies. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact emma@eludesigns.co.uk to make a request. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
